Adult Music Education Initiative
The Adult Music Education Initiative aims to support adults who are interested in individual instrument instruction, ensemble classes, and chamber music coachings and workshops. Beginners or experienced players will find a supportive environment for developing proficiency and confidence on their chosen instrument.
Individual instruction for beginning through advanced students is offered for the following instruments: piano, violin, voice, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, and guitar. Adult students may enroll in lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length for the full school year or on a per semester basis.
NCA accompanists visit string, woodwind, and voice lessons regularly. Adult Department Recitals provide performance opportunities for interested students.
In addition to individual lessons, NCA offers the Ensemble Class Program and the Chamber Music Program. Adult students may enroll in ensemble classes or chamber music coachings for the full school year or on a per semester basis. Weekend Chamber Music Workshops are held on select Sunday afternoons from October through April.
